Yesterday the Marshalltown Bobcat Girls’ golf team competed at the Linda Bloom Invite. There were 13 teams competing and the Bobcats as a team earned 4th place. It was Bobcat Junior Natalie Henson takes home the victory as an individual; she shot a 72 (+1) to win. Gaby Estabrook earns 13th place shooting an 85.
Last night the Bobcat Girls tennis faced off against the Des Moines North Polar Bears. The Bobcats are 8 – 0 on the season, and with an impressive 11 – 0 meet win over the Polar Bears, the Bobcats are now 9 – 0. Head Coach John Fiscus reminds the team that Monday May 6th is districts. That is the meet where individuals and the team will need to perform at to make it to state. We will find out where that meet will take place on Wednesday. The Bobcats play next on Tuesday when they travel to Mason City.
Last night the Marshalltown Bobcat girls’ soccer team faced off against the Des Moines Hoover Huskies. The first half was scoreless and that was finally broken by a penalty kick from Sara Huffman. It was Alexia Garcia who sealed the game with a late goal for the Bobcats as they win 2 – 0. In a first-time matchup, the Bobcats will face Humboldt on Monday for their next game.
