MarshallMania, the Super Smash Brothers Tournament happening on Sunday at Marshalltown Community College has exploded this week.  Nathan Rodemeyer, the professor who teaches Esports Planning and Event Management and esports Head Coach, says the participants have gone from 30 to 60 in 2 days.  It only cost $5 to enter the tournament, and it is open to anyone.

The event has gotten so large that is has now moved to Dejardin Hall on Marshalltown Community College’s campus. Esports Head Coach Andrew Goforth explains what Super Smash Brothers is.

Marshalltown Community College will have all the equipment, they do recommend that players bring their own controller.  Goforth says smash players are particular about the controller or joy cons they use.
