The Fourth of July Fireworks in Marshalltown is a show that is put on by a committee of individuals.  The city does give a monetary donation to the committee, but overall, it is a group of volunteers that leads the charge for the celebration.

That is Luisa Ortega, as she joined Man on the Street on Friday.  Ortega has taken over this role in recent years and she is trying to make Marshalltown a destination for the Fourth of July.

Ortega then made the announcement about changing locations for the fireworks this summer

There will be more information to come about the Fourth of July Celebration, as it is still 2 months out.
