The Marshalltown Community College Esports Department brought home yet another national championship in Overwatch 2. Led by coaches Andrew Goforth and Nathan Rodemeyer, the team and Department as a whole have grown from almost nothing, to now winning championships on a consistent basis.
Rodemeyer says, the message behind the success of the MCC Esports teams, is to never be afraid to try out. Not only has the team grown into this successful of a story, but so have the players. Goforth talks about the importance of just trying out for a team with the story of Overwatch team captain, Ryne Sinn
The MCC Esports Department continues to grow and succeed, even getting a commitment from a player from West Virginia to come in and hopefully win another championship next year
