The Marshalltown Boys tennis team had a duo compete at the State tournament yesterday in Iowa City. The duo of Jacob Theissen and Isaac Benscoter got matched up with the #1 duo in the State from Waukee Northwest, Croatt and Nelson. The Bobcat duo fell 6-1, 6-0 and fell to face Linn-Mar’s duo of Kramer and Wallrichs. Thiessen and Benscoter fought hard in this one, but ultimately fell 6-2, 6-4, ending their season.

The Marshalltown Girls Soccer team had their game at Dowling postponed until tonight due to the weather yesterday across Iowa. They’ll look to take down the Maroons in the regional semifinal, kickoff is set for 5 pm. You can catch all the action tonight on KFJB-TV on both the YouTube and Facebook pages. Pregame is set to start at 4:45pm.
