This week in country history: 1998 – George Strait wrapped up country music’s FIRST stadium tour. It featured Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, and the Dixie Chicks. 2019 – Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X performed “Old Town Road” with Keith Urban on guitar at the CMA Music Fest. It was at that time country music fans..said, “alright THAT’S enough” 2023 – Tanya Tucker became the first person to ride a horse onstage at the Opry.
