Our April winner is 4th Grade Teacher at Roland-Story Elementary, Mrs. Jane Bauman. She was nominated by Felicia Lucas, a parent who wrote to Kix 101.1.:
My 4th grader has Mrs. Bauman at Roland-Story Elementary this year. Riley comes home everyday and tells me about how Mrs. Bauman makes every lesson “so much fun”. But, what stuck out in my mind the most is a lesson that will stay with Riley for the rest of her life.“Everyone makes mistakes.” It’s only the 3rd week of school and Mrs. Bauman has already instilled in these little minds that everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect and we can always be forgiven. That’s a lesson even adults have trouble with and I think it’s such a wonderful thing she is incorporating it into their everyday classroom experience.
