NORTH GRAND IDOL COMPETITION
BROUGHT TO YOU BY KNIGHTLIFE ENTERTAINMENT
WHAT: The North Grand Idol competition is a singing competition not unlike American Idol or The Voice. Contestants will compete by singing a song of their choice, selected by them from the current library provided by Knightlife Entertainment. This competition is open to all ages and individuals who want to compete for cash and prizes.
WHEN: North Grand Idol, will start Saturday April 7th 2018 and be held consecutive Saturdays in April (7th, 14th, 21st ) taking one break being Saturday April 28th 2018 and continuing Saturday May 5th equaling four (4) weeks of competition with the FINALS to be held May 19th 2018. Competition begins promptly at 2pm and will end at 4pm.
WHERE: North Grand Idol, will be held at North Grand Mall in Ames, IA 2801 Grand Ave, Ames, IA and commence in the open area in the center of the mall. The qualifying rounds and the finals (May 19th 2018) will be held at the same location.
WHO: North Grand Idol is an individual competition open to all age groups.
OTHER: There will be three judges selected. Judges will score on a scale of 0 – 5 for the following – Vocal Ability, Stage Presence, Song Interpretation. See attached Form. All judging scores and decisions are final, In the case of a tie there will be a “sing off”.
PRE-REGISTRATION – Will be at North Grand Mall office, with contact info and entry fee.
A ONE TIME FEE of $5.00 will be collected from each contestant as entry fee which will be used towards the grand prize.
Contestants will sing one song per competition, contestants not picked as a FINALIST may re-enter the competition on the following weeks and must pay the entry fee.
Contestants need to be registered BY 1PM the day of the competition, so as to have their song selected and ready to go.
There will be a maximum of Fifteen (15) participants per session, with two (2) qualifiers moving on the finals with a total of eight (8) finalists on May 19th 2018.
Contestants will not know individual personal scores. Score cards will remain the property of Knightlife Entertainment.
If you are chosen as a FINALIST, CONGRATULATIONS! You will not compete again until the FINALS May 19th there will be no fee on the day of the finals.
FINALISTS – You MUST be on time for the start of the competition or you will forfeit your position.
