The List for Friday, January 8th 2021

Welcome to The List –

Thomas Rhett talks about his new song “What’s Your Country Song” and what it means to him and what he hopes it does for you … “My song, ‘What’s Your Country Song,’ really is about an ode to all the songs that, I think, helped me grow up and finding what your country song was and what your country song is, and how those songs take you back to a really memorable moment in time.”

Niko Moon had some drama on the set of his video for ‘Good Time’ … “So there was one little bit of drama when we were making the “Good Time” music video. And that is the main car that’s in the video that I’m driving is a 1971 Buick GS. And as we’re shooting the music video and I’m standing in front of it singing, it starts to smoke everywhere. I thought we accidentally blew up this car. But come to find out it was just a leaky hose and it was like a $5 fix, but it really had me scared there for a minute.”

Vanna White says she had a blast filming “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” with Chrissy Metz and Drew Carey. She recalls her most embarrassing wardrobe malfunction after a long dinner break. “I remember I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, banana pudding the whole thing and I had a very tight outfit to wear after lunch and my belt just popped off.” Sounds like the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and pudding were fine…it was the ‘whole thing’ she should have left alone “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” continues for the next eight weeks in primetime on ABC.

The National Enquirer claims Ben Affleck is reprising his role as Batman in ”The Flash” and a Justice League film because of the money especially when he gets $5 million for a couple of weeks work. Ben says now he will play Batman as long as they keep paying him!

Jimmy Fallon has news about the ‘Puppy Bowl’ this year. “I saw that Discovery has confirmed the Puppy Bowl will go on as scheduled this year… whew! said absolutely no one…”

The List for Monday, November 25th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Game show host Chuck Woolery died on Saturday at his home in Texas. . . . TMZ reports that he went to lie down because he wasn't feeling well.

Chuck was the original host of "Wheel of Fortune" back in the late '70s . . . he went on to host the "Scrabble" game show in the '80s . . . and of course "Love Connection" from 1983 to 1994.

He also did some later shows, like "Lingo" on the Game Show Network, and "Greed" on Fox.

There's no word on a cause of death, Chuck Woolery was 83…

-----

"Billboard" put out their list of the Top 100 Country Singers of All Time . . . and some folks are less than pleased.  Specifically, because Taylor Swift was ranked above Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith.  Also, Jason Aldean didn't even make the list at all..what’s THAT all about…..

-----

Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is making around $50 million a year.  But now, his wallet will be 0.03% LIGHTER . . . thanks to FINGER GUNS.

The NFL has fined Patrick $14,069 for the "violent gesture" he made last week, while celebrating a touchdown.  He'd just scored on Buffalo, and Patrick used both hands to mimic firing dual pistols.

Let's be honest . . . he wouldn't have been fined for mimicking a bow and arrow . . . throwing knives . . . or dramatically acting out the extremely violent "finishing moves" from "Mortal Kombat".  (Although that would be amusing.)

-----

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn are now tied with the most CMA Awards in history.  They have 19 wins each.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, November 22nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs was shocked to hear "People" magazine named him the sexiest 34-year-old on the planet.  He told a reporter that when he heard they put him on a list, he thought it was for eating the "most cheeseburgers."

-----

Keith Urban was doing an interview for a recent edition of Variety magazine when he said he has two sides to his personality. "I’ve got a dutiful, responsible, reliable side. And I’ve got this animalistic, wild, reckless, irresponsible, What does this button do?' side.  I constantly have to keep them both in check to make sure one side isn't taking more control than it should."

-----

Jay Leno recently suffered a 60-foot fall down a hill at a hotel resulting in injuries to his eyes and face that were left bruised along with a broken wrist.  Which has led to wild internet conspiracies that Jay has a “gambling problem” and debt collectors were sending a message…

-----

Lastly, remember Jussie Smollett? Well his conviction for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself has been overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.  They ruled that he shouldn't have been prosecuted after making a deal with the D.A.
