The List for Friday, October 11th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Tim McGraw is not a “comedy guy” he doesn’t watch comedy movies but we asked if he had to pick one guy… “George Carlin. He was always my favorite. Anytime I’m flipping through channels, and they have some old stuff with George Carlin and I sit and watch, and he’ll make me laugh.” Lately he and Faith every once in a while will catch an episode of All in the Family adding Archie Bunker makes him laugh pretty hard…

Henry Winkler tells PEOPLE magazine that he turned down the role of Danny Zuko in ‘’Grease’’ because he feared being typecast. He thought he had played the Fonz for 10 years. He just didn’t want to do that in the movies too…He feared he’d be “typecast and never work again…

Your four-year-old is psyched right now, The Wiggles just went Country. They got a new truck.  And in true Country fashion, they wrote a song about it. They replaced their “Big Red Car” with a big red truck.  It’s called “Big Red Ute” (yoot) . . . Aussie slang for a utility vehicle.  Maybe DON’T tell your kid about the song, though.  Because if they love it, you’re in big trouble. It’s the kind of thing you only want to hear once, and even that might be too much.

Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) from “Halloween” tops a ranking of the best final girls in horror movies.  She’s followed by Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) from “Scream” and Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) from “Alien”.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, January 17th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Country stars were asked to choose one album to take with them on a deserted island.  Jelly Roll would go with Garth Brooks' greatest hits, so he can get, quote, "More bang for his buck" . . . And Lainey Wilson would bring "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack. Which Country album would YOU take….

-----

Tim McGraw will headline the first-ever, all-day concert event at the legendary Field of Dreams field in Dyersville, Iowa this August.  That's pretty cool because Tim's dad, Tug McGraw, played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball.

-----

Justin Baldoni is suing Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for $400 million, claiming they orchestrated a smear campaign against him and tried to take control of their movie, "It Ends with Us".

-----

Director David Lynch died yesterday, after battling emphysema.  He was 78.  Former Major Leaguer and actor Bob Uecker also passed yesterday, due to lung cancer.  He was 90 years old.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
