The List for Friday, September 10th 2021

Welcome to The List,

So, where were YOU when the world stopped turning…ME? I was in the Quad Cities working at a radio station watching Good Morning America when they broke in…

For Travis Denning…It was really scary  “My grandmother picked me up and took me to his house. As soon as he turned on the TV every channel had it on. And I’m like, my mom is in D.C. She’s at the Pentagon, and the Pentagon was attacked and we couldn’t get ahold of my mom. Y’ know, we couldn’t get ahold of her for a while, so…it’s weird. It’s still kinda like, makes me…Yeah, we get it…still hard to talk about…

And Alan Jackson THAT song…I remember watching him perform it on the CMA’s that year…“It was a tough performance for me. I hadn’t really sung the song much, first of all. It was just in the studio, basically, and when I wrote it…so it’s hard to go out there and sing something new anyway, and just the topic made it nerve-wracking, too. You know, I didn’t think about what was going to happen or anything – we just sang it. And I just remember, other than being relieved that I got through it, I just felt very proud that it seemed to cause a reaction in people…and I was proud that I got to do it, and that it seemed like it meant something.”  How he got through it I don’t know….

Tom Cruise resumed filming Mission Impossible 7 yesterday in London. The Daily Mail says he parachuted out of a helicopter and into a field. A car rushed to pick Tom up to take him to his next shooting location. Meanwhile Top Gun has been pushed back again to the spring…

—–

We Got This Covered claims Scarlett Johansson is allegedly willing to settle her Black Widow lawsuit with Disney for $100 million. She is suing the house of mouse because they put her movie on Disney+ and THAT hurt her earnings, ScarJo was paid $20 million up front and could have made another $50 million had Black Widow been released exclusively in theaters.

The List for Thursday, March 13th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Imagine paying good money to see Chris Stapleton live… only to take a nap. That’s exactly what an Australian couple did—out cold in the middle of the concert! Their friends, being absolute menaces, surrounded them with empty beer cans. When the couple woke up, they had a full-blown hangover without the fun part.

-----

Zach Top Says He always wanted to be a cowboy when he was a kid…But…He realized early on the closest he could get to being a cowboy was singing about them.

-----

Taylor Swift is allegedly hiding and not speaking to friends because of the mess involving Justin Baldoni and her friend Blake Lively. A source says, 'She is still in touch with a select few but currently doesn't want to be dragging anyone else into this mess. She’s going to continue to lay low and is quite content playing house with the man she loves.’’

-----

Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, and Pitbull will headline the 2025 NCAA March Madness Music Festival.  It's a three-day event from April 4th to the 6th in San Antonio, Texas.

The List for Wednesday, March 12th 2025

Welcome to The List,

We saw THIS coming a mile away…Jennifer Garner has reportedly been given an ultimatum by her boyfriend.  If he sees another picture like the one of Jennifer and Ben Affleck cuddling at paintball, he's out the door.

-----

Blake Shelton just can't seem to stop with all the onstage PDA.  First Trace Adkins told him no more kisses on the cheek.  Now this . . .A video of Blake bringing an 84-year-old lady on stage for a birthday hug is making the rounds online.  It was pretty cute.  It happened two weekends ago at his show in Greensboro, North Carolina.  She was out in the crowd with a sign that said, "May I hug you for my 84th birthday?" (WARNING:  He says the word "damn" early on in the video, and the song lyrics include the phrase "wild-a**."  She shows up on stage around 1:20.)

-----

RadarOnline.com says the Oscars bosses are considering offering Chris Rock a huge sum to host the 2026 Academy Awards in hopes he can inject excitement back into the show. It seems he has unfinished business following the Will Smith affair and he'd be a huge audience winner.

-----

Brad Paisley recently wowed the crowd at Rodeo Houston by covering Prince's "Purple Rain”.

The List for Tuesday, March 11th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Jelly Roll rocks Daisy Dukes in a new commercial for Zevia. The Zevia collab makes sense.  Jelly has been outspoken about his weight loss journey and making healthier choices for his body.  Zevia soda has no sugar and uses stevia leaf extract for its sweetener.  And the ad is self-aware . . .It shows Jelly rolling up to a gas station in a red truck . . . as two boys watch him get a Creamy Root Beer from a fridge. It’s pretty funny and you can check it out here

 -----

The Daily Mail says Jennifer Lopez and actor Brett Goldstein were spotted together backstage at a Broadway play, sparking rumors of a date night.  Ben Affleck doesn’t care…He’s spending as much time with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner as he can.  Yes, she HAS a boyfriend.

-----

Angelina Jolie we haven’t heard much about HER lately…well, she’s allegedly determined to leave Hollywood after being snubbed at the Oscars. An insider reveals, “She put her heart and soul into this awards season. And the snub has left Angelina with an incredibly bad taste in her mouth. It’s Angie’s firm belief that the family would be happiest abroad.’’  Just think, that's all it took...

-----

If you’re a Wynonna Judd fan she just announced her first-ever greatest hits tour.  It kicks off June 13th in Georgia and wraps up September 5th at the New Mexico State Fair.  Tickets go on sale this Friday.
