The List for Monday, December 16th 2024

Welcome to The List,

The biggest fallout from the country music side of the Billboard Music Awards was Beyoncé winning Top Country Female Artist . . . She beat out Lainey Wilson, and Megan Moroney.  And a lot of folks were not happy.  What is going ON in Country music…..Some people are ok with this…I am not one of them…

—–

Travis Kelce reportedly spent $175,000 on Taylor Swift for her 35th birthday . . . including 35 luxury flower arrangements, a $60,000 Rolex, and bling from Tiffany, Elsa Peretti, and more. Which answers the question; What do you GET a person that has everything?  Travis Kelce found out….

—–

Riley Green and his father LOVE decorating for Christmas…his favorite though?  Has to be inflatables… “We found out we can buy those, like, snow globes and the big blow up animals and Santa’s and reindeer, we definitely have a Clark Griswold-type of quality, me and Pop do, when it comes to decorating outside.”

—–

“Moana 2” held onto the top spot at the box office…There might be a “Barbie” sequel in the early stages of development..and Will Smith would like you to know that he’s never had anything to do with Diddy…

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

Birdie 12/16/2025

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK IS BIRDIE!!

Birdie is a sweet and resilient girl with a gentle soul and an inspiring story of strength. She was found at the Collison’s golf course, where it became clear she had recently given birth. Her kittens were safely found and brought in as well, and Birdie lovingly cared for them until they were old enough to be weaned.

When Birdie arrived, her walk seemed a bit off, she still walks with a bit of a wobble, likely due to lingering nerve issues, but she gets around just fine and continues to improve. She doesn’t require any ongoing medication or special care and lives comfortably just as she is.

Birdie is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV tested. She’s ready for her forever home — one where she can finally relax, be pampered, and enjoy life as the cherished companion she was always meant to be. She’s very affectionate, enjoys a calm environment, and while she can coexist with some other cats, she’d be perfectly content as your one and only.

If you're looking for a loving, low-maintenance cat with a big heart and a lot of love to give, Birdie is ready to meet you.
