Dolly Parton had reason to celebrate this week, as her Netflix holiday film, Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square, earned two nominations at the 2021 Emmy Awards. The film, which was released in November, was nominated for Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Choreography for Scripted Programming.

Garth Brooks played a concert for 900 fans at a Salt Lake City dive bar on Friday. He wanted to warm up for his Saturday night show at Rice-Eccles Stadium…The man needs to drop in somewhere here in KIX Country

”Space Jam: A New Legacy” topped the box office over the weekend and that has director Malcolm D. Lee thinking about ANOTHER Space Jam movie only THIS time with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson!!  He says it’ll be different…we’re not exactly what the skill set would be.  Maybe he goes back to wrestling that might be interesting.

Get out the poodle skirts and hair cream A new Grease prequel series, is in the works ”Rise Of The Pink Ladies”, is going to stream on Paramount+ in the near future

Good Will Hunting is one of Matt Damon’s most beloved films, he tells CBS Sunday Morning that his 15-year-old daughter, Isabella, refuses to watch it. “You know, my 15-year-old refuses to see it. She doesn’t want to see any movies that I’m in that she thinks might be good.”. “My daughter said, ‘Yeah, remember that movie you did, The Wall?’ I said, ‘It was called The Great Wall.’ She goes, ‘Dad there’s nothing great about that movie,’ ouch!!

Jelly Roll rocks Daisy Dukes in a new commercial for Zevia. The Zevia collab makes sense.  Jelly has been outspoken about his weight loss journey and making healthier choices for his body.  Zevia soda has no sugar and uses stevia leaf extract for its sweetener.  And the ad is self-aware . . .It shows Jelly rolling up to a gas station in a red truck . . . as two boys watch him get a Creamy Root Beer from a fridge. The Daily Mail says Jennifer Lopez and actor Brett Goldstein were spotted together backstage at a Broadway play, sparking rumors of a date night.  Ben Affleck doesn’t care…He’s spending as much time with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner as he can.  Yes, she HAS a boyfriend.

Angelina Jolie we haven’t heard much about HER lately…well, she’s allegedly determined to leave Hollywood after being snubbed at the Oscars. An insider reveals, “She put her heart and soul into this awards season. And the snub has left Angelina with an incredibly bad taste in her mouth. It’s Angie’s firm belief that the family would be happiest abroad.’’  Just think, that's all it took...

If you’re a Wynonna Judd fan she just announced her first-ever greatest hits tour.  It kicks off June 13th in Georgia and wraps up September 5th at the New Mexico State Fair.  Tickets go on sale this Friday.

Hamilton, Ozzie and Mickey

One of our KIX Critters of the week is Hamilton!

He is a 5-year-old mixed breed who came in as a stray, and he’s ready to start a new chapter in his life with someone special.

This shy guy may need some time to warm up, but with patience and love, he’ll reward you with loyalty and affection. Hamilton is a true outdoors enthusiast! He loves spending time outside, where he begins to come out of his shell and show his playful side. He’s looking for a patient and understanding person who can help him build trust and confidence.

Good news for dog lovers – Hamilton does well with other dogs! If you already have a dog, we’ll arrange a meet and greet to make sure they’re a perfect match.

Authorities have determined that Gene Hackman's wife Betsy died first, of hantavirus . . . which comes from infected rodents.  Gene, who had advanced Alzheimer's, died about a week later of severe cardiovascular disease.

Luke Combs had to come to his own rescue on the Internet this past weekend.  A bio of his was circulating that said he was only 5-foot-9.  He jumped in to defend himself by saying, "5-foot-9 is crazy work.  6 foot, 300 pounds of beefcake according to my driver's license."

Craig Morgan stopped by "Fox and Friends" on Friday and did his new song "American Soundtrack".  He also talked about why he decided to re-enlist in the Army Reserve at age 59 back in 2023.

The city of Philadelphia is naming a street after Will Smith. The Philadelphia City Council passed a resolution for the change on the 2000 block of North 56th Street. North 56th is being renamed ‘’Will Smith Way’’ for Smith's entertainment achievements, charity work…
