Congratulations to Garth Brooks being recognized as one of the greatest of all time at the 43rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors…He recalls stepping away from country music to raise his family. “The Country music audience has given you everything. Now you simply ask them ‘I’m going to go home and raise my babies’. The big surprise was never ever thinking they were going to let you back in.” Not only did they let you back in after 14 years, but did it with open arms.
Luke Bryan, who kicks off his world tour on July 8th in Syracuse, tells CMT that touring is not always glamorous. Saying “Sometime you get in bad highways, I don’t miss that. I mean, when you are getting thrown around your bus like popcorn poppin’, I don’t miss that. But um, other than that, it’s pretty amazing.” …kinda sounds like a country song to me…
Clarence Williams III, the beloved actor on television, film and stage died Friday, per his management’s communications with The Hollywood Reporter. Williams, best known for his role as Lincoln “Linc” Hayes in The Mod Squad starred in the Aaron Spelling ABC crime drama for all five seasons between 1968 to 1973. He also played Prince’s Father from Prince’s movie Purple Rain. Clarence Williams III died in Los Angeles from colon cancer at the age of 81.
“Fear The Walking Dead” Star Jenna Elfman dishes on her character’s journey ahead of next Sunday’s season finale. “She’s lost her daughter, now lost her husband. But, with all of these blows and now some closure. She’s starting to use all of these experiences and convert it to some knowledge and strength and skill and she’s pushing forward.” The “Fear the Walking Dead” season finale airs Sunday.

Authorities have determined that Gene Hackman's wife Betsy died first, of hantavirus . . . which comes from infected rodents. Gene, who had advanced Alzheimer's, died about a week later of severe cardiovascular disease.

Luke Combs had to come to his own rescue on the Internet this past weekend. A bio of his was circulating that said he was only 5-foot-9. He jumped in to defend himself by saying, "5-foot-9 is crazy work. 6 foot, 300 pounds of beefcake according to my driver's license."

The city of Philadelphia is naming a street after Will Smith. The Philadelphia City Council passed a resolution for the change on the 2000 block of North 56th Street. North 56th is being renamed ‘’Will Smith Way’’ for Smith's entertainment achievements, charity work…
