The List for Thursday, August 10th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been married for 27 years.  Even Tim is impressed by that.  He says that’s like 92 in showbiz marriage years. If they have a secret it might be that they can’t keep their hands off each other.  Especially now that their three daughters are out of the house.  Adding, “Now all of a sudden we have this time together and it turned into we’re having our second honeymoon.

If you’re a fan of the John Wick movies, you’ll like this.  The trailer for the “John Wick” spin-off series, “The Continental”, starring Mel Gibson.  It’s a three part series that premiers September 22nd on Peacock and you can see the trailer HERE.

There is a “great divide” between Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren and Southern Living magazine did a story on it and That divide is . . . he roots for the Georgia Bulldogs and she’s a lifelong Tennessee Volunteers fan….Those two teams go head to head Friday November 17th and I’d like to be a fly on the wall at THEIR house during the game…

You may recall that Megan Moroney’s “I’m Not Pretty” was inspired by an ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend.  Well, the video is out and it looks like a reenactment . . . except Megan is playing a version of herself AND the ex.  This is also cool.  Megan co-directed the video.

TMZ says Taylor Swift fans are allegedly bribing security guards at concert venues. The website says they are gaining access to shows by giving guards anywhere between $60 and $100. StubHub’s least expensive seats for Taylor’s shows are $700 a piece.  Meanwhile, Unilad says a Taylor Swift fan, is going viral because he sold one of her fourth row concert tickets for $14,000. He posted; ‘Literally paid for my college tuition’.

Giant Freakin Robot says Brad Pitt is allegedly getting his own Mad Max-like movie on Netflix. The film is called “Desolation Run”. Brad will play a wanderer, who teams up with a mechanic in order to escape a group of desert warlords. Ought to be interesting…

The List for Monday, November 25th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Game show host Chuck Woolery died on Saturday at his home in Texas. . . . TMZ reports that he went to lie down because he wasn't feeling well.

Chuck was the original host of "Wheel of Fortune" back in the late '70s . . . he went on to host the "Scrabble" game show in the '80s . . . and of course "Love Connection" from 1983 to 1994.

He also did some later shows, like "Lingo" on the Game Show Network, and "Greed" on Fox.

There's no word on a cause of death, Chuck Woolery was 83…

-----

"Billboard" put out their list of the Top 100 Country Singers of All Time . . . and some folks are less than pleased.  Specifically, because Taylor Swift was ranked above Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith.  Also, Jason Aldean didn't even make the list at all..what’s THAT all about…..

-----

Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is making around $50 million a year.  But now, his wallet will be 0.03% LIGHTER . . . thanks to FINGER GUNS.

The NFL has fined Patrick $14,069 for the "violent gesture" he made last week, while celebrating a touchdown.  He'd just scored on Buffalo, and Patrick used both hands to mimic firing dual pistols.

Let's be honest . . . he wouldn't have been fined for mimicking a bow and arrow . . . throwing knives . . . or dramatically acting out the extremely violent "finishing moves" from "Mortal Kombat".  (Although that would be amusing.)

-----

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn are now tied with the most CMA Awards in history.  They have 19 wins each.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
