The List for Thursday, February 11th 2021

Welcome to The List –

I saw this video last night on Facebook maybe you’ve seen it Morgan Wallen is apologizing for what he did a week ago.  Morgan made headlines after a video surfaced of him yelling a racial slur in front of his home while intoxicated. This is only part of what he had to say “I got many more things to learn, but, I already know that I don’t want to add to anymore division.  This week was a big lesson in that sometimes we can do just that, without even knowing it.  Our actions matter, our words matter and I want to encourage anyone watching to please learn from my mistake. There’s no reason to downplay what I did.  It matters and please know I’m choosing my next steps in repair.”

Carrie Underwood LOVES Chocolate On Valentine’s Day … “Chocolate’s every woman’s friend – in their time of need or in their time of happiness or in their time of sadness or madness, chocolate is my friend. Anything with caramel in it, ooooooooh. White chocolate’s good too. You can’t beat some good white chocolate.”

TMZ says Bruce Springsteen was charged with a DUI on November 14th in Sandy Hook, New Jersey. Cops busted him at the Gateway National Recreation Area. He was charged with a DUI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area. Bruce has a court appearance in the next several weeks.

The NY Post says the Super Bowl streaker made $374,000 by running in a pink leotard during the Big Game. The Bovada offshore sports book offered odds of 15-2 that there would be a streaker at the Super Bowl. Yuri Andrade and his friends took the odds and bet $50,000.

Jimmy Fallon talks about Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady throwing the Lombardi trophy between two boats “Well guys the Tampa Bay Buccaneers celebrated their Superbowl victory with a boat parade. Tom Brady did something pretty risky with the Lombardi Trophy. He just tossed it!!  It was a fun moment until a second later Gronk spiked it on a manatee.”

The List for Monday, November 25th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Game show host Chuck Woolery died on Saturday at his home in Texas. . . . TMZ reports that he went to lie down because he wasn't feeling well.

Chuck was the original host of "Wheel of Fortune" back in the late '70s . . . he went on to host the "Scrabble" game show in the '80s . . . and of course "Love Connection" from 1983 to 1994.

He also did some later shows, like "Lingo" on the Game Show Network, and "Greed" on Fox.

There's no word on a cause of death, Chuck Woolery was 83…

-----

"Billboard" put out their list of the Top 100 Country Singers of All Time . . . and some folks are less than pleased.  Specifically, because Taylor Swift was ranked above Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith.  Also, Jason Aldean didn't even make the list at all..what’s THAT all about…..

-----

Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is making around $50 million a year.  But now, his wallet will be 0.03% LIGHTER . . . thanks to FINGER GUNS.

The NFL has fined Patrick $14,069 for the "violent gesture" he made last week, while celebrating a touchdown.  He'd just scored on Buffalo, and Patrick used both hands to mimic firing dual pistols.

Let's be honest . . . he wouldn't have been fined for mimicking a bow and arrow . . . throwing knives . . . or dramatically acting out the extremely violent "finishing moves" from "Mortal Kombat".  (Although that would be amusing.)

-----

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn are now tied with the most CMA Awards in history.  They have 19 wins each.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, November 22nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs was shocked to hear "People" magazine named him the sexiest 34-year-old on the planet.  He told a reporter that when he heard they put him on a list, he thought it was for eating the "most cheeseburgers."

-----

Keith Urban was doing an interview for a recent edition of Variety magazine when he said he has two sides to his personality. "I’ve got a dutiful, responsible, reliable side. And I’ve got this animalistic, wild, reckless, irresponsible, What does this button do?' side.  I constantly have to keep them both in check to make sure one side isn't taking more control than it should."

-----

Jay Leno recently suffered a 60-foot fall down a hill at a hotel resulting in injuries to his eyes and face that were left bruised along with a broken wrist.  Which has led to wild internet conspiracies that Jay has a “gambling problem” and debt collectors were sending a message…

-----

Lastly, remember Jussie Smollett? Well his conviction for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself has been overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.  They ruled that he shouldn't have been prosecuted after making a deal with the D.A.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
