The List for Thursday, February 18th 2021

Welcome to The List –

Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard On Their Song, ‘Long Live’ “So, ‘Long Live’ was just a really, really special song that we wrote, I don’t know, it just had a really good energy and really positive and felt like it just took us back down memory lane every time we heard it.” The ode to small-town Friday nights ‘Long Live’ is the second single from their fifth studio album ‘Life Rolls On’ and was a top ten hit..

Kelsea Ballerini tells Billboard magazine that she has a few signature drinks. “Other than wine, it’s tequila, and if it’s tequila, it’s a margarita, and it’s probably a mezcal margarita. Those are the best!” Information that’s good to know on International Margarita Day

Sounds like Nashville says Time Magazine has named Luke Combs as one of their 100 Most Influential People.

“The Walking Dead” Star Lauren Cohan On Live With Kelly And Ryan … and talks about how hard it is to hate Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s “Negan” character because he is such a nice guy in real life. “He’s the hardest person to be mad at.     It’s so funny to because during some of those episodes, just hanging out with him and Hillary and the kids and playing sidewalk chalk and them I’m like ‘I gotta hate this guy?’

And speaking of The Walking Dead….Norman Reedus is definitely sowing seeds for a career after The Walking Dead, which is coming to an end in 2022 after 11 seasons.  However, Reedus and costar Melissa McBride will headline one of two planned spinoffs, so it’s not like fan favorite Daryl will be leaving zombies behind anytime soon.

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Monday, November 25th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Game show host Chuck Woolery died on Saturday at his home in Texas. . . . TMZ reports that he went to lie down because he wasn't feeling well.

Chuck was the original host of "Wheel of Fortune" back in the late '70s . . . he went on to host the "Scrabble" game show in the '80s . . . and of course "Love Connection" from 1983 to 1994.

He also did some later shows, like "Lingo" on the Game Show Network, and "Greed" on Fox.

There's no word on a cause of death, Chuck Woolery was 83…

-----

"Billboard" put out their list of the Top 100 Country Singers of All Time . . . and some folks are less than pleased.  Specifically, because Taylor Swift was ranked above Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith.  Also, Jason Aldean didn't even make the list at all..what’s THAT all about…..

-----

Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is making around $50 million a year.  But now, his wallet will be 0.03% LIGHTER . . . thanks to FINGER GUNS.

The NFL has fined Patrick $14,069 for the "violent gesture" he made last week, while celebrating a touchdown.  He'd just scored on Buffalo, and Patrick used both hands to mimic firing dual pistols.

Let's be honest . . . he wouldn't have been fined for mimicking a bow and arrow . . . throwing knives . . . or dramatically acting out the extremely violent "finishing moves" from "Mortal Kombat".  (Although that would be amusing.)

-----

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn are now tied with the most CMA Awards in history.  They have 19 wins each.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, November 22nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs was shocked to hear "People" magazine named him the sexiest 34-year-old on the planet.  He told a reporter that when he heard they put him on a list, he thought it was for eating the "most cheeseburgers."

-----

Keith Urban was doing an interview for a recent edition of Variety magazine when he said he has two sides to his personality. "I’ve got a dutiful, responsible, reliable side. And I’ve got this animalistic, wild, reckless, irresponsible, What does this button do?' side.  I constantly have to keep them both in check to make sure one side isn't taking more control than it should."

-----

Jay Leno recently suffered a 60-foot fall down a hill at a hotel resulting in injuries to his eyes and face that were left bruised along with a broken wrist.  Which has led to wild internet conspiracies that Jay has a “gambling problem” and debt collectors were sending a message…

-----

Lastly, remember Jussie Smollett? Well his conviction for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself has been overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.  They ruled that he shouldn't have been prosecuted after making a deal with the D.A.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
