Well, the fourth of July is this weekend that means cookouts, family get together’s and fireworks….so, what does it mean to be an American to you? Here’s what it means to Luke Bryan “I think the definition of an American is somebody who stands up during the ‘Pledge of Allegiance’ and stands up when ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ is being sung and just appreciates what all the fallen heroes and soldiers have done to keep us living in a country that’s free where we have the right to do anything we want”

Speaking of being a proud American, Kip Moore Is Very Proud Of America .. “I’m a very, very patriotic person, proud of the country that I live in, and I’m very proud of what those guys do for us each and every day, and I don’t take it for granted one bit. My grandparents were in the military, fought wars, and I’ve seen the battle that they go through, just the horror of remember things. When I start to think that I’m half-way tough, I realize how I’m not one bit when I talk to soldiers when I’m out and realize the things that they go through. I can’t imagine facing what those guys face every day”

Entertainment Tonight says reports that ”The Ellen DeGeneres Show” is about to be canceled because of declining ratings and stories about Ellen being mean are false.

The movie site JoBlo says Jason Momoa is in talks to voice Frosty the Snowman in a new live action adaptation of the Christmas classic.

CNN says Comedy Central is rebooting Beavis and Butthead. Show creator Mike Judge is moving the series from MTV and says he is planning to do two seasons. “It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again.”

The Nathan’s annual Hot Dog Eating Contest takes place on July 4th on Coney Island in New York. QZ.com has determined that eating 70 hot dogs would mean consuming 19,600 calories, 1,225 grams of fat, Betty White is the person most Americans would like to share a hot dog with.

Hamilton, Ozzie and Mickey

One of our KIX Critters of the week is Hamilton!

He is a 5-year-old mixed breed who came in as a stray, and he’s ready to start a new chapter in his life with someone special.

This shy guy may need some time to warm up, but with patience and love, he’ll reward you with loyalty and affection. Hamilton is a true outdoors enthusiast! He loves spending time outside, where he begins to come out of his shell and show his playful side. He’s looking for a patient and understanding person who can help him build trust and confidence.

Good news for dog lovers – Hamilton does well with other dogs! If you already have a dog, we’ll arrange a meet and greet to make sure they’re a perfect match.

Authorities have determined that Gene Hackman's wife Betsy died first, of hantavirus . . . which comes from infected rodents.  Gene, who had advanced Alzheimer's, died about a week later of severe cardiovascular disease.

Luke Combs had to come to his own rescue on the Internet this past weekend.  A bio of his was circulating that said he was only 5-foot-9.  He jumped in to defend himself by saying, "5-foot-9 is crazy work.  6 foot, 300 pounds of beefcake according to my driver's license."

Craig Morgan stopped by "Fox and Friends" on Friday and did his new song "American Soundtrack".  He also talked about why he decided to re-enlist in the Army Reserve at age 59 back in 2023.

The city of Philadelphia is naming a street after Will Smith. The Philadelphia City Council passed a resolution for the change on the 2000 block of North 56th Street. North 56th is being renamed ‘’Will Smith Way’’ for Smith's entertainment achievements, charity work…

The Blast claims Jennifer Lopez allegedly feels "betrayed" by Ben Affleck for hugging and growing closer to Jennifer Garner. A source says, "She invested so much time in supporting Ben through his challenges and had a rough year as their marriage broke down. Seeing how quickly he has started spending more time with Garner has exacerbated the concerns she already had about his relationship with her while they were married.”
