The List for Thursday, May 26th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Eric Church talks about Celebrating Our Freedom and the people that provide those freedoms … “I’m very proud that we have the soldiers. I know there are a lot of other countries out there in the world that don’t want to live the way we do, and that’s fine, they can keep living the way they are, but I’m very proud of it. I think that’s a time to celebrate being proud to be an American and celebrate those freedoms…and celebrate the people that are over fighting for those freedoms” Adding it’s the soldiers he comes in contact with on the road, the ability to make the music he makes and to say what he wants to say.

Ellen’s final show today will be filled with tears and joy. Ellen tells The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s funny because the last couple of months I was more emotional than I was in the last week or two. She got really emotional about two months out, but that last week she just really wanted to enjoy it.

Luke Combs tells CMT that he’s getting nervous about the birth of his baby. “I’m a little nervous. You got a lot of stuff to do. I got a lot on my plate that I don’t even realize is on there yet. I’m uncovering things every day; I’m buying all kind of clothes I didn’t know existed. I mean, I just just learned what a bassinet was. Do you know if Columbia carries a newborn line?”

Tom Cruise tells Bella magazine that he hasn’t taken a day off in 40 years. “I’m just chillin’ now. I don’t have days off. Look, I’m fortunate, I’m lucky. I’ve spent my life on movie sets and travelling the world, which is what I always wanted to do. So this is not work – I’m living the dream.”

Josh Turner Is Ready For Summer … “I have a nice boat that I got a couple of years ago. I have it set up for saltwater and fresh water. I’m not much of a water skier. My legs are too skinny for that, but I just try to tube and have fun and just ride”

Madonna is auditioning new boyfriends. A source says she has zero interest in dating someone her age. What she wants is a hard-bodied, hot guy in his late twenties – someone who can keep up with her. She has requested that her team find her a handful of options – after signing a watertight NDA, of course.

The List for Thursday, January 2nd 2025

Welcome to The List,

Lainey Wilson and former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges were one of country music's most beloved couples of 2024, so it's only natural that fans are buzzing about whether they might be taking the next step and tying the knot sometime soon. Bunnie Xo is wondering, too. She confessed to Wilson that she's "manifesting" a wedding for her in 2025.  Lainey has even offered to propose to HIM!!

It's not too unusual for Luke Combs to tease new music before releasing it, but this time, he's got one important question to go along with his unreleased demo. "Who should I duet this with?" he asked fans as he posted a clip of something that appears to be titled "More Less Than Perfect." Combs' new song is a love ballad with lyrics that appear to be directed at a person who fell in love with him, even though he thinks he doesn't deserve her attention.

-----

Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against her "It Ends with Us" co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, according to court docs…as well as the film’s production company, Wayfarer Studios.  Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department on Dec. 20. On Dec. 31, Baldoni and his publicists also sued the New York Times for libel,  after the news outlet published a Dec. 20 article about Lively's claims that she'd been the victim of a smear campaign after speaking up about sexual harassment on the set of "It Ends with Us."

-----

And lastly, Megan Markle started the new year with a fresh Instagram post from a newly launched account. In it, the Duchess of Sussex happily runs barefoot along the sand on a beach while wearing a white button-up shirt and a pair of white jeans rolled up above the ankle.  Writing 20-25 in the sand before running out of the shot. Though the former “Suits” actress, 43, turned off the comments for the post, several stars showed their support by “liking” it, including her pals Serena Williams and Chrissy Teigen.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
