The List for Thursday, May 30th 2024

Welcome to The List,

I doubt Jerry Seinfeldhas ever made it into a conversation about MANLY MEN . . . unless it was to serve as a counterpoint.  But he always wished he could be one.

In a new interview, Jerry said he misses “dominant masculinity” and the “hierarchy” that existed when he was young. “I miss dominant masculinity.  Yeah, I get the toxic thing, but I still like a real man.” You can listen to a clip here.

Zach Bryan’s new single “Pink Skies” is being promoted on pop radio and it seems like Zach did not know that was happening.  He tweeted, “This is [effed], I never approved this . . . Why is ‘Pink Skies’ at pop radio?”

The News International says Jennifer Lopez is allegedly worried about the optics of a potential fourth divorce. A source says, “She’s upset. There is a lot at stake for the actress and another divorce could be a cause of embarrassment.  On a side note.. Jennifer could be subpoenaed in the Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawsuit.

Jelly Roll says the most frivolous thing he’s taking on tour with him is his own personal sauna.  Someone asked if he goes fully naked in it, and he said no . . . because it’s glass.  He joked he might catch a charge if he did…and Tim McGraw! Keep an eye out for his yet to be named Netflix movie…it’s a drama series about a bull riding champion…

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

Birdie 12/16/2025

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK IS BIRDIE!!

Birdie is a sweet and resilient girl with a gentle soul and an inspiring story of strength. She was found at the Collison’s golf course, where it became clear she had recently given birth. Her kittens were safely found and brought in as well, and Birdie lovingly cared for them until they were old enough to be weaned.

When Birdie arrived, her walk seemed a bit off, she still walks with a bit of a wobble, likely due to lingering nerve issues, but she gets around just fine and continues to improve. She doesn’t require any ongoing medication or special care and lives comfortably just as she is.

Birdie is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV tested. She’s ready for her forever home — one where she can finally relax, be pampered, and enjoy life as the cherished companion she was always meant to be. She’s very affectionate, enjoys a calm environment, and while she can coexist with some other cats, she’d be perfectly content as your one and only.

If you're looking for a loving, low-maintenance cat with a big heart and a lot of love to give, Birdie is ready to meet you.
