The List for Thursday, October 27th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Ask a country artist if they have a “road prank story” and they’ll give you one.  Jason Aldean remembers the time Tim McGraw hijacked his ear monitor, while he was on stage TRYING to perform. “He [got] the microphone where my ear monitor guy is, where he talks to us in our ears.  Tim got ahold of that.  “I’m trying to sing and all the sudden, I hear somebody talking or singing a different song, and I’m trying to hear my band and all I can hear is McGraw . . like right in the middle of my show.  [And] he’s singing like Indian Outlaw’.”, “I look over and he’s laughing on the side stage.”

In his new memoir, ”Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing”,  Matthew Perry writes that he and Cameron Diaz were fixed up in 2007 after she dumped Justin Timberlake. The couple was playing a game of Pictionary at a dinner party when Matthew flirted with Cameron. She went to punch his shoulder, but missed and ended up hitting him in the face…did she though…miss?

Lainey Wilson’s new album “Bell Bottom Country” is out tomorrow.  She says the title means “country with a flare.”  Her team put brightly-colored bell bottoms on a “bunch of mannequins located at Nashville’s Music Row Roundabout.

 —–

Travis Denning said one of his “most proud AND embarrassed” Halloween costumes was when he went as Terry from “Reno 911”.  “I had the roller skates the short-shorts, the tied-up shirt.  Looking back, it wasn’t the manliest thing I ever did, but it got a lot of laughs and I think that year my favorite candy was Busch Light.”

—–

American idols Katy Perry tells The Cut that she meditates her hangovers away. “I try to meditate in the morning if I didn’t get enough sleep or if my sleep was like an Imax movie — I use it for jet lag, hangovers, creativity. Sometimes, I just slip away for 20 minutes in the middle of the day.

Music Row magazine says Miranda Lambert has debuted a new fragrance called Idyllwind Velvet Rodeo. She says, “This scent was created for all you strong-spirited, take no prisoners, queen of hearts. Saddle up… and go get ‘em girls!”

The List for Thursday, December 26th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Did you catch Beyonce’s performance during half-time on Wednesday’s game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans? She performed a medley of songs off her album, “Cowboy Carter,” released earlier this year. Post Malone and Shaboozey, who are featured on “Cowboy Carter,” made special appearances during the Christmas Day performance.

-----

Carly Pearce spent some time on tour with Tim McGraw earlier this year, and although she’s an avid runner and big into other fitness regimens like Orange Theory and spinning, one workout she has no plans to incorporate into her routine is Tim’s intense CrossFit training. “Yeah, I’m not gonna be a part of Tim McGraw’s workouts because quite frankly, I don’t think I could keep up. I did pull the tire up and I got it up, but he said that he will flip the tire the length of like a football field, y’all. And I’m just not going to do that. I will stick to running. If Tim McGraw wants to do a running challenge, let’s go.”

-----

Some people may not know that one of Justin Moore’s favorite hobbies is cooking. He loves to try new recipes and often watches the Food Network for inspiration. We wondered if Justin has ever considered putting all those family recipes and his other favorites into a cookbook. “I would certainly be up for it. I’ve not ever thought about it, but I think it would be somethin’ that would be fun to do.”

-----

The 42nd president is currency hospitalized after coming down with a fever that required medical attention. NBC News reports Bill Clinton is in a Washington, D.C. hospital on his own accord. An aide told the media outlet that Clinton,  who is 78, “Is in good spirits and grateful for the care he is receiving.  “The former president will be fine. “He developed a fever and wanted to be checked out.
