The List for Thursday, September 8th 2022

Welcome to The List,

The NFL season kicks off tonight and surprisingly The Dallas Cowboys who are America’s favorite NFL team, gets that moniker but only by a slim margin.  They got 9% of the vote in a poll, followed by the Chicago Bears at 8%, then the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers with 6% each…meanwhile,  Gisele Bundchen still hasn’t returned to the Brady house from Costa Rica…and the first game for the Buccaneers is September 11th against the Cowboys…

Can you imagine FGL’s Tyler Hubbard acting in a movie or TV show?  Would he even be interested? ” I’m interested but I’m not actively pursuing it, if that makes sense. I joke and say I’m probably a really bad actor, if I had to actually act. But I could play a role that reflects a redneck from Georgia pretty well if anybody needs that in a film. So, I’m ready.”

Anna Kendrick will direct and star in a movie based on the true story of a serial killer who went on “The Dating Game” in 1979, and was chosen by the female contestant. In 1978, a woman named Cheryl Bradshaw appeared on the show.  And she chose a guy named Rodney Alcala. Well, Rodney turned out to be a SERIAL KILLER.  And Cheryl somehow sensed something wasn’t right, because she refused to go on the date with him . . . which was obviously the right choice.

Jon Pardi Shares Advice For Aspiring Artists, saying every artist you see has “been there” everyone that’s been on TV or whatever have been where you are and you have to get over that. “You just gotta get back on..you know, to the grind and always look for something positive. I know it’s hard to do sometimes, you might wake up the next night with a great song title and write a song and it changes your whole carrier.”

Tom Hanks was almost a Storm Trooper!!  He tells the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he almost made a cameo in the 2018 Star Wars movie ”Solo: A Star Wars Story”. But he couldn’t make it work, he couldn’t get there in time to do it. Adding, That was one thing about Star Wars, within the first 45 seconds of it, as soon as you saw a stormtrooper… those guys running around in those stormtrooper outfits, you were in the hands of something that had been really well-thought-out.”

The nominations for the “56th Annual CMA Awards” were announced yesterday, and first-time nominee Lainey Wilson leads the pack with six.  Morgan Wallen is up for Entertainer of the Year, which is huge because he was still canceled last year and wasn’t eligible for CMA solo awards.

Miranda Lambert remains the most-nominated female in CMA history.  She’s up to 61.  Overall, that’s the third most . . . behind George Strait’s 83 and Alan Jackson’s 81.

Taste of Country thinks Walker Hayes got snubbed and that he deserved a Best Male Vocalist nomination . . . and they don’t understand why the CMAs always overlook Kane Brown.  Everyone is mad that Scotty McCreery got snubbed.  “The 56th Annual CMA Awards” will air November 9th on ABC. Will YOU be watching??
