The List for Tuesday, February 16th 2021

Welcome to The List –

Kenny Chesney He says he’s changed over the years…But how…have you changed Kenny? “I don’t know! I feel like I’m more patient. I think when any artist gets started I feel like it’s in every artist to want it all at once and I was no different.  But, I think once you go through certain ups and downs in your life and you go through something as traumatic as what happened after ‘Irma’  you see how fragile everything is.  I think  you appreciate things more than you did before that.”

Darius Rucker says his record company wanted him to record “Beers And Sunshine” as quickly as possible … “I made a lot of records for my label, and ‘Beers and Sunshine’ is the first time I’ve written a song and sent it out to them and they said, ‘Can we get that cut right now?’ That was a pretty good feeling. That was a pretty good feeling.”

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has his own show now called ‘Young Rock’ … Here he gives us an insight into it. “The premise of ‘Young Rock’ is we take a look and we examine my earlier years, when I was a little boy, when I was a teenager, and then my later teenage years as I got to the University of Miami.  Like in life we all have these up’s and downs and I’ve had my fair share of them” On a side note he tells MovieWeb that his is still thinking about running for president in the future…he says if that’s what the people wanted…’Young Rock’ premieres tonight on NBC

Whiskey Riff says Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are selling their private island in the Bahamas for $35 million. They bought the 20-acre island in 2003. It has two beaches and a swimming pool…but now Starbucks…

The Daily Star, says filming on Mission Impossible 7 and 8 has been postponed because the crew is allegedly refusing to work. , “The whole production has hit yet another issue. The prospect of having to quarantine in a hotel back in the UK is a step too far and they’ve demanded to be flown home before the rules change. Wait, there’s a Mission Impossible 8 too?  Did YOU know about this? I didn’t know about this..

The List for Monday, November 25th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Game show host Chuck Woolery died on Saturday at his home in Texas. . . . TMZ reports that he went to lie down because he wasn't feeling well.

Chuck was the original host of "Wheel of Fortune" back in the late '70s . . . he went on to host the "Scrabble" game show in the '80s . . . and of course "Love Connection" from 1983 to 1994.

He also did some later shows, like "Lingo" on the Game Show Network, and "Greed" on Fox.

There's no word on a cause of death, Chuck Woolery was 83…

-----

"Billboard" put out their list of the Top 100 Country Singers of All Time . . . and some folks are less than pleased.  Specifically, because Taylor Swift was ranked above Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith.  Also, Jason Aldean didn't even make the list at all..what’s THAT all about…..

-----

Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is making around $50 million a year.  But now, his wallet will be 0.03% LIGHTER . . . thanks to FINGER GUNS.

The NFL has fined Patrick $14,069 for the "violent gesture" he made last week, while celebrating a touchdown.  He'd just scored on Buffalo, and Patrick used both hands to mimic firing dual pistols.

Let's be honest . . . he wouldn't have been fined for mimicking a bow and arrow . . . throwing knives . . . or dramatically acting out the extremely violent "finishing moves" from "Mortal Kombat".  (Although that would be amusing.)

-----

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn are now tied with the most CMA Awards in history.  They have 19 wins each.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, November 22nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs was shocked to hear "People" magazine named him the sexiest 34-year-old on the planet.  He told a reporter that when he heard they put him on a list, he thought it was for eating the "most cheeseburgers."

-----

Keith Urban was doing an interview for a recent edition of Variety magazine when he said he has two sides to his personality. "I’ve got a dutiful, responsible, reliable side. And I’ve got this animalistic, wild, reckless, irresponsible, What does this button do?' side.  I constantly have to keep them both in check to make sure one side isn't taking more control than it should."

-----

Jay Leno recently suffered a 60-foot fall down a hill at a hotel resulting in injuries to his eyes and face that were left bruised along with a broken wrist.  Which has led to wild internet conspiracies that Jay has a “gambling problem” and debt collectors were sending a message…

-----

Lastly, remember Jussie Smollett? Well his conviction for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself has been overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.  They ruled that he shouldn't have been prosecuted after making a deal with the D.A.
