The List for Tuesday, January 26th 2021

Welcome to The List –

Hollywoodlife.com reports that Gabby Barrett and her husband, Cade, are the proud parents of a new baby girl.  What piece of wisdom is she going to pass to her new baby girl? “Probably just to work hard, I think working hard and perseverance with goals and dreams is really important.  That’s what I did when I was younger and now we’re sitting here.”

Quarantine can be a pain, the same person, same place for days on end but not for Kelsea Ballerini and her husband Morgan Evans. She says you gotta find that silver lining. “It’s been good for us, just to learn how to exist together.  Not just cram everything into one or two days a week, but really do life together. It’s been really great for us.”

Jared Leto talks about his character in the new movie “The Little Things” with Jimmy Fallon. “I think the name says a lot, I play a guy named Alan Sparma. Right from the name you can tell he’s a little different, a bit of an outsider. It’s a special one, there’s something really special about this with Rami Malik and Denzel.  Just to get in the ring with those two guys I just feel really fortunate.” ‘The Little Things’ Starring Denzel Washington, Rami Malik and Jared Leto comes to theaters and HBO Max on Friday, January 9th.

With his stance on giving up action movies would Liam Neeson if asked of course.  Would he be up to doing another Star Wars movie or series? Oh sure, yeah, because Ewan McGregor’s a pal and I’d love to get with Ewan Again, yeah.”

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Monday, November 25th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Game show host Chuck Woolery died on Saturday at his home in Texas. . . . TMZ reports that he went to lie down because he wasn't feeling well.

Chuck was the original host of "Wheel of Fortune" back in the late '70s . . . he went on to host the "Scrabble" game show in the '80s . . . and of course "Love Connection" from 1983 to 1994.

He also did some later shows, like "Lingo" on the Game Show Network, and "Greed" on Fox.

There's no word on a cause of death, Chuck Woolery was 83…

-----

"Billboard" put out their list of the Top 100 Country Singers of All Time . . . and some folks are less than pleased.  Specifically, because Taylor Swift was ranked above Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith.  Also, Jason Aldean didn't even make the list at all..what’s THAT all about…..

-----

Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is making around $50 million a year.  But now, his wallet will be 0.03% LIGHTER . . . thanks to FINGER GUNS.

The NFL has fined Patrick $14,069 for the "violent gesture" he made last week, while celebrating a touchdown.  He'd just scored on Buffalo, and Patrick used both hands to mimic firing dual pistols.

Let's be honest . . . he wouldn't have been fined for mimicking a bow and arrow . . . throwing knives . . . or dramatically acting out the extremely violent "finishing moves" from "Mortal Kombat".  (Although that would be amusing.)

-----

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn are now tied with the most CMA Awards in history.  They have 19 wins each.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, November 22nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs was shocked to hear "People" magazine named him the sexiest 34-year-old on the planet.  He told a reporter that when he heard they put him on a list, he thought it was for eating the "most cheeseburgers."

-----

Keith Urban was doing an interview for a recent edition of Variety magazine when he said he has two sides to his personality. "I’ve got a dutiful, responsible, reliable side. And I’ve got this animalistic, wild, reckless, irresponsible, What does this button do?' side.  I constantly have to keep them both in check to make sure one side isn't taking more control than it should."

-----

Jay Leno recently suffered a 60-foot fall down a hill at a hotel resulting in injuries to his eyes and face that were left bruised along with a broken wrist.  Which has led to wild internet conspiracies that Jay has a “gambling problem” and debt collectors were sending a message…

-----

Lastly, remember Jussie Smollett? Well his conviction for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself has been overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.  They ruled that he shouldn't have been prosecuted after making a deal with the D.A.
