Garth Brooks announced yesterday his new album, titled ‘Fun’, “Hey everybody Garth Brooks here, reminding you October 21st, 7pm Eastern we’re going to bring you the preview of the big album drop that’s coming this fall. ‘Fun’ is coming, and you guys have been so patient — it’s time to have some fun…This is going to be awesome, can’t wait to see you guys. Again October 21st 7pm, be there ok? Love you.” as they say “but wait there’s more!” Garth will also release his second live album, called ‘Triple Live Deluxe’, November 20th. It includes 30 songs over 3 CDs from the country star’s various tours including his world tour with Trisha Yearwood.

Carly Pearce turned to Instagram over the weekend to treat fans to a preview of a new song she recorded in the middle of quarantine called “Heart First.” Revealing that she sang it in one take while recording in a closet, The demo comes hot on the heels of Carly’s current single, “Next Girl,”

Jimmy Fallon last night pointed out that AMC Theaters are allowing people to rent out their theaters for $99. “Nothing lifts your spirits like watching Sonic the Hedgehog in an abandon building. Yep, you can rent out the entire theater to yourself yet, somehow, there’ll still be a person that walks in and sits down right next to you.”

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo recently added three miniature cows to their farm.  They’re named Crunch, Brownie and S’more.  But Jelly was feeling left out because everyone got an animal but him.  So, then Bunnie got Jelly his very own DONKEY…named Griz…

Riley Green had to go to the emergency room after impaling his foot on a nail while hunting. Green shared the incident on Instagram. Despite the mishap, he remained in good spirits and even received clearance to return to hunting shortly after being treated.

OUR FIRST KIX CRITTER FOR 2025 IS RONNIE!!

Ronnie is a 3 year old German Shepherd mix that came to the shelter as a stray. He is seems to get along with cats and other dogs. If you have a current dog in the home, a meet and greet will be required.

Ronnie is an active dog that is looking for an active family to take him out on adventures. Ronnie's adoption fee covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and various other treatments. If you are interested in Ronnie, please stop by the front desk or call 641-753-9046.

Demi Moore won her first acting award EVER last night at the Golden Globes, for "The Substance".  Other winners included "The Brutalist""Shogun""Emilia Perez", and "Hacks".

Aubrey Plaza's husband Jeff Baena took his own life on Friday.  Baena directed Aubrey in several movies, including "Life After Beth""The Little Hours", and "Spin Me Round".

The Carolina Panthers have had a rough season.  So, when a fan suggested Luke Combs be given a chance on defense, the country singer was into it.  He said, "I'm ready to suit up."  Unfortunately, the Panthers passed on the opportunity.  At 5-12 what could they lose?

The donkey who inspired Eddie Murphy's character in "Shrek" passed away after suffering a hoof disease.  He was 30 and lived at a pasture in Palo Alto, California.
