There’s still no word on Coolio’s cause of death. But sources close to him say he had severe asthma, and that may have been a contributing factor. Apparently, he struggled with asthma over the years and traveled with several inhalers to keep it in check. He would even use them onstage sometimes. Coolio died in the bathroom of a friend’s house in L.A. last Wednesday. The friend had to break down the door to get to him. When paramedics arrived, they worked on Coolio for 45 minutes before pronouncing him dead. Coolio was 59.

He said, quote, “During quarantine I had all this land, but I didn’t have any of the fencing. I thought about cattle. Didn’t really want to do that. I love bison. I love the west. [These] are my pets. It’s weird. I get that. But they’re awesome.”
