The List for Tuesday September 29th 2020

Welcome to The List –

Thomas Rhett think’s he’s found a silver lining in the pandemic “Honestly, it’s just been such a blessing in disguise, this whole year. I would say the first 30, 40 days into quarantine I was kinda losing my mind, going, ‘I need to play a show. I need to write a song. I need to do something.’ And then one day my wife looked at me and she said, ‘Honey, you’re not gonna play a show this year. You just need to let it be and relax and be with our family.

Blake Shelton tells Ellen he’s excited about the upcoming season of ‘The Voice.’ But, they had to change a few things due to the coronavirus. “Our chairs are already pretty far apart, but they made them a little bit further apart now. To be honest It made it a little easier I think to concentrate. Our insults cut a little deeper because we hear exactly everything the other person was sayin’…somehow that thing worked out.” Blake was on tour when the coronavirus shut him down. ‘The Voice’ Season 19 will have Gwen, Kelly, John and Blake premieres October 19th on NBC.

Rainn Wilson you might remember him if you’re a fan of ‘The Office” tells Kelly And Ryan about his new Amazon Prime series, “Utopia” He plays a scientist who researches a pandemic that came from bats….sound familiar? “I describe it as Stranger Things meets Quentin Tarantino, it’s a really fun wild romp.” “Utopia” is streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.

Screen Rant says The Rock almost starred in the James Bond movie ”Spectre.” He was going to play a henchman named Mr. Hinx, kinda like Goldfingers OddJob?  MGM said The Rock was too expensive and they couldn’t find a hat sharp enough so, instead, cast fellow wrestler Bautista.

Jimmy Fallon says last night was a big night for hockey fans. “If you just watched game six of the Stanley Cup playoffs, that mean you’re either drunk and happy or drunk and very angry. I actually watched the game through my plastic face shield so I could feel like I was really there.” The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Dallas Stars to capture the Stanley Cup!!

The List for Thursday, January 2nd 2025

Welcome to The List,

Lainey Wilson and former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges were one of country music's most beloved couples of 2024, so it's only natural that fans are buzzing about whether they might be taking the next step and tying the knot sometime soon. Bunnie Xo is wondering, too. She confessed to Wilson that she's "manifesting" a wedding for her in 2025.  Lainey has even offered to propose to HIM!!

-----

It's not too unusual for Luke Combs to tease new music before releasing it, but this time, he's got one important question to go along with his unreleased demo. "Who should I duet this with?" he asked fans as he posted a clip of something that appears to be titled "More Less Than Perfect." Combs' new song is a love ballad with lyrics that appear to be directed at a person who fell in love with him, even though he thinks he doesn't deserve her attention.

-----

Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against her "It Ends with Us" co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, according to court docs…as well as the film’s production company, Wayfarer Studios.  Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department on Dec. 20. On Dec. 31, Baldoni and his publicists also sued the New York Times for libel,  after the news outlet published a Dec. 20 article about Lively's claims that she'd been the victim of a smear campaign after speaking up about sexual harassment on the set of "It Ends with Us."

-----

And lastly, Megan Markle started the new year with a fresh Instagram post from a newly launched account. In it, the Duchess of Sussex happily runs barefoot along the sand on a beach while wearing a white button-up shirt and a pair of white jeans rolled up above the ankle.  Writing 20-25 in the sand before running out of the shot. Though the former “Suits” actress, 43, turned off the comments for the post, several stars showed their support by “liking” it, including her pals Serena Williams and Chrissy Teigen.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
