The List for Tuesday, September 6th 2022

Welcome to The List,

—–

It happens to the best of us and Saturday it happened to Luke Combs.  His voice was shot..and he knew it BEFORE the concert… Saying he knew they’d spent money on things like gas and hotel rooms . . . so he wanted to give everything he had, even if it wasn’t his best. He still put on the show but did it for free and refunded everyone’s tickets.

Walker Hayes and his wife Laney did another goofy video, and why not?  Maybe it’s the reason they’ve been married for 18 years.  Sunday was their anniversary so they “renewed their vows” and had their daughter Everly be the minister.  Laney wore slippers and gym shorts while walking down the “aisle” carrying a flower in a pot.  Walker was in jeans and a baseball cap, and he hummed “Here comes the bride”.  And when it was time, they mashed lips.

Dish Network determined the most popular Stephen King movie in each state using Google Trends ‘The Mist’ was the favorite in Iowa.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Jane Fonda is undergoing chemotherapy for what they’re calling a very treatable form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  The 84-year-old actress took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that she’s begun the treatment.

Cole Swindell’s hit, ‘She Had Me At Heads, Carolina’ is barreling up the charts…it was last weeks number one song on the Top Kix At Six.  The video HAS Jo Dee Messina in it.  Cole talks about meeting her for the first time. “It was cool, being a fan of somebody you never know how it’s going to be. I was nervous, and I’m such a big fan of her and her songs. To get to meet her for the first time I don’t know that’s a pretty big moment”

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman recently became CPR-certified. She posted, “CPR, AED and basic first aid are invaluable skills to learn. My family and I got certified last week because you never know when an emergency will occur and who will be affected.

There’s been a Smith sighting! For the first time since May, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were spotted out together recently. The couple, who Jada revealed to have been separated for eight years, dined with friends in Calabasas. In one photo they’re chatting with one another while walking. In another shot, Jada leaned in and wrapped an arm around her estranged husband…. then flipped him…slapped him and told him to keep her name out of his mouth!!

Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan's newest smash, Landman, features an impressive all-star cast, but if you have been paying close attention, you may have also noticed a very special guest star on the show. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's daughter, Audrey, has popped up on Landman more than once in recent weeks.

Audrey McGraw first appeared on Landman during Episode 5, titled "Where Is Home." She played the role of Shelby, who lives next door to the house the main character Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) lives…inviting his daughter “Ainsley” to a Patch Party…

-----

And lastly…If you're a DIEHARD FAN of Jelly Roll, you may have known this, but for everyone new to the bandwagon: Jelly recorded a song 10 years ago with Uncle Kracker… called "Sunday Morning" .  It was NOT about CHURCH . . . it was about waking up hungover after a wild weekend partying like they were in a "fraternity house. “.. you can find it if you search…

The List for Friday, December 27th 2024

Welcome to The List,

The last couple of years have been quite a whirlwind for Jackson Dean, and he’s had the opportunity to check off quite a few things on his career bucket list, including several venues he’s always dreamed of playing. But are there other venues he still dreams of performing in?  “I’ve already done the Ryman, I’ve already done the Opry, I’ve done Red Rocks. Now, the funny thing is like, where are we gonna go next? I mean, the next step is to headline these places for sure, but where’s the next place? It’s a really great question I haven’t been able to answer for a little while. And I’ve been thinkin’ about, you know, where’s the next goal? I’ve even thought about all the O2s over in Europe and stuff. And I’m sure there’s stadiums over there and places over there that I don’t know about that I’d love to go. But I mean, I’ve been three years tourin’ around this country and gotten to all the lower 48 and played so many places. But yeah, we’re gonna keep settin’ goals for ourselves, and we’ve just checked so many off at this point ,you know. It’s a funny little problem to have.”

With the New Year quickly approaching, a lot of people will be making resolutions to improve certain aspects of their life. Considering Tim McGraw is probably one of the fittest guys in country music, his resolution probably won’t have to do with working out or eating healthier. So, we wondered if there was something in Tim’s life that he feels could use some improvement. “Gosh, there’s way more things on my list that I need to get better at than there are things that I’ve gotten better at. You know, we’re all a work in progress and every day you’re trying to do something to make yourself a better person. Some days you fail at that and some days you don’t. It’s hard not to dwell on the things that you’ve done wrong, but if you dwell on those things you sort of get lost in the muck. And my philosophy, I don’t always accomplish it, but all you can do is try to do the next best thing. You know, if you do something wrong, just try to do the next best thing.”

About 65 million combined viewers watched the Kansas City Chiefs top the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens battle the Houston Texans, according to the NFL and Netflix. They report they were the most streamed NFL games in U.S. history, according to Nielsen. What do you know..no gliches…like with the Tyson-Paul fight…

-----

Speaking of Netflix…One of Netflix’s biggest shows is officially back. The second season of South Korean thriller Squid Game premiered on the streamer on Thursday, over three years after the show premiered in 2021. Additionally, there will be one more season, with the third and final season premiering sometime in 2025.
