The List for Wednesday, February 21st 2024

Welcome to The List,

If you’re a Beatles fan…A biopic film series of The Beatles is in the works from “Skyfall” director Sam Mendes.  There will be four movies, one from the perspective of each member.

—–

Luke Combs’ song “Where the Wild Things Are” just hit #1 on the country charts.  That makes it 18 straight number ones to start his career. Alabama still holds the record with 21 in a row from 1980 to 1987, but Luke’s definitely making a run at it.

—–

A new movie version of Stephen King’s “Salem’s Lot” was filmed in 2021 . . . and it still hasn’t been released.  And King wants to know why.  He’s actually seen it, and he thinks it’s “quite good.”  The culprit here is Warner Brothers.  They’ve already shelved two major films that were completely finished . . . “Batgirl” and “Coyote vs. Acme” . . . and took tax write-offs. That could be what they’re doing here.

—–

Jelly Roll wasn’t able to accept the award for Male Country Artist of the Year at the People’s Choice Awards because he was teaching kids how to sing at a juvenile detention center.

You can catch The List weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, November 22nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs was shocked to hear "People" magazine named him the sexiest 34-year-old on the planet.  He told a reporter that when he heard they put him on a list, he thought it was for eating the "most cheeseburgers."

-----

Keith Urban was doing an interview for a recent edition of Variety magazine when he said he has two sides to his personality. "I’ve got a dutiful, responsible, reliable side. And I’ve got this animalistic, wild, reckless, irresponsible, What does this button do?' side.  I constantly have to keep them both in check to make sure one side isn't taking more control than it should."

-----

Jay Leno recently suffered a 60-foot fall down a hill at a hotel resulting in injuries to his eyes and face that were left bruised along with a broken wrist.  Which has led to wild internet conspiracies that Jay has a “gambling problem” and debt collectors were sending a message…

-----

Lastly, remember Jussie Smollett? Well his conviction for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself has been overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.  They ruled that he shouldn't have been prosecuted after making a deal with the D.A.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
