The List for Wednesday, January 3rd 2024

Welcome to The List,

90210 and Sharknado star Ian Ziering was attacked by a group of mini-bike riders in traffic in L.A. on Sunday, with his daughter in the car.  He says, quote, “I urge city officials and law enforcement to take decisive action against such lawlessness and provide the necessary resources to prevent future occurrences.”

CBS might be guilty of a little false advertising.  Because when Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins performed on the “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” special . . . they weren’t live. When Blake’s segment aired, he was literally just MINUTES from taking the stage for his own New Year’s gig at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Morgan Wallen’s performance was also pre-recorded. should CBS have advertised it as “live” when two of the biggest performances were not?  What do YOU think about that….

—–

Snoop Dogg will assist NBC in covering this summer’s Olympics in Paris, as part of their primetime coverage. Snoop will explore city landmarks, attend competitions and events, and visit with the athletes and their friends and families. The Summer Olympics start July 26th.  You can catch them on NBC and Peacock.

—–

John Michael Montgomery is kicking off his farewell tour this month, which will extend through 2025.  He’s not retiring from music though, just tours.  Quote, “I’ve been fortunate and blessed to be able to do what I love for so many years.  Please join me as I say goodbye to the road life.”

The List for Monday, November 25th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Game show host Chuck Woolery died on Saturday at his home in Texas. . . . TMZ reports that he went to lie down because he wasn't feeling well.

Chuck was the original host of "Wheel of Fortune" back in the late '70s . . . he went on to host the "Scrabble" game show in the '80s . . . and of course "Love Connection" from 1983 to 1994.

He also did some later shows, like "Lingo" on the Game Show Network, and "Greed" on Fox.

There's no word on a cause of death, Chuck Woolery was 83…

-----

"Billboard" put out their list of the Top 100 Country Singers of All Time . . . and some folks are less than pleased.  Specifically, because Taylor Swift was ranked above Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith.  Also, Jason Aldean didn't even make the list at all..what’s THAT all about…..

-----

Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is making around $50 million a year.  But now, his wallet will be 0.03% LIGHTER . . . thanks to FINGER GUNS.

The NFL has fined Patrick $14,069 for the "violent gesture" he made last week, while celebrating a touchdown.  He'd just scored on Buffalo, and Patrick used both hands to mimic firing dual pistols.

Let's be honest . . . he wouldn't have been fined for mimicking a bow and arrow . . . throwing knives . . . or dramatically acting out the extremely violent "finishing moves" from "Mortal Kombat".  (Although that would be amusing.)

-----

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn are now tied with the most CMA Awards in history.  They have 19 wins each.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, November 22nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs was shocked to hear "People" magazine named him the sexiest 34-year-old on the planet.  He told a reporter that when he heard they put him on a list, he thought it was for eating the "most cheeseburgers."

-----

Keith Urban was doing an interview for a recent edition of Variety magazine when he said he has two sides to his personality. "I’ve got a dutiful, responsible, reliable side. And I’ve got this animalistic, wild, reckless, irresponsible, What does this button do?' side.  I constantly have to keep them both in check to make sure one side isn't taking more control than it should."

-----

Jay Leno recently suffered a 60-foot fall down a hill at a hotel resulting in injuries to his eyes and face that were left bruised along with a broken wrist.  Which has led to wild internet conspiracies that Jay has a “gambling problem” and debt collectors were sending a message…

-----

Lastly, remember Jussie Smollett? Well his conviction for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself has been overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.  They ruled that he shouldn't have been prosecuted after making a deal with the D.A.
