Ashley McBryde is still afraid to talk to Dolly Parton because of something she did 10 years ago. She was new to Nashville and housesitting at Dolly’s place when a microwave caught fire and almost burned the place down.

The “MTV Video Music Award” nominees were announced yesterday. Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, and Jack Harlow lead with seven, followed by Doja Cat and Harry Styles with six. The ceremony will be Sunday, August 28th. Voting is open. The VMAs are that one special day each year that Music Television gets to step outside its comfort zone and focus on music.
