The List for Wednesday, March 27th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Raise your hand if you knew it was “Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day” . . . No one?  Well, mark it in your calendars!  This might by the most important day all year.

It’s a day we can finally celebrate great titles like, “Dirty Old Egg Sucking Dog” by Johnny Cash . . . or “Sic’ Em on a Chicken” by Zac Brown Band. “I Still Like Bologna” by Alan Jackson.  (This should’ve won a Pulitzer.) “Do You Want Fries with That” by Tim McGraw…You’re welcome…

—–

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett are shutting down their charitable foundation.  And one reason is that donations dropped 83% after Will slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

—–

Sara Evans is back with her estranged husband.  She filed for divorce in 2021 when he allegedly tried to ram his car into hers.  Sara says they’re “so happy now,” but they’ll, quote, “be in therapy until we die.”

—–

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer says a “Pirates of the Caribbean” reboot is in the works.  He didn’t give any other details, except that it’ll be easier to put together because they won’t have to wait for “certain” actors.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, November 22nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs was shocked to hear "People" magazine named him the sexiest 34-year-old on the planet.  He told a reporter that when he heard they put him on a list, he thought it was for eating the "most cheeseburgers."

-----

Keith Urban was doing an interview for a recent edition of Variety magazine when he said he has two sides to his personality. "I’ve got a dutiful, responsible, reliable side. And I’ve got this animalistic, wild, reckless, irresponsible, What does this button do?' side.  I constantly have to keep them both in check to make sure one side isn't taking more control than it should."

-----

Jay Leno recently suffered a 60-foot fall down a hill at a hotel resulting in injuries to his eyes and face that were left bruised along with a broken wrist.  Which has led to wild internet conspiracies that Jay has a “gambling problem” and debt collectors were sending a message…

-----

Lastly, remember Jussie Smollett? Well his conviction for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself has been overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.  They ruled that he shouldn't have been prosecuted after making a deal with the D.A.
